Chattanooga State Announces Tennessee Reconnect Information Sessions

May 20, 2022 (Chattanooga, TN) --- There has never been a better time for adults to begin or return to college using the Tennessee Reconnect Grant. The class of 2022 was composed of 1,221 graduate candidates and of that amount, 50% of graduates were age 25 or older.

Chattanooga State Announces Spring 2022 Dean's List

Chattanooga State is proud to announce that the following students have attained Dean’s List status for the 2022 spring semester. To be eligible, students must have completed 12 or more hours of college-level work with a grade point average (GPA) of 3.5 or higher for the semester. (Support classes are not included in the calculation.)

Chattanooga State TCAT Students Shine at SkillsUSA State Competition

May 6, 2022 (Chattanooga, TN) --- SkillsUSA competitions returned to in-person status for the first time since 2019 and student participants from the Tennessee College of Applied Technology (TCAT) at Chattanooga State Community College captured a total of 42 individual medals in 24 contests. Thirty-two of these medals were Gold, seven were Silver, and three were Bronze. A total of fifty-seven TCAT Chattanooga contestants competed this year.

Chattanooga State Announces Polytech Academy at Kimball Open House

If you are a rising high school junior from the Marion County area who is interested in a career focusing on Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics, better known as a STEM career, Polytech Academy at Kimball may be just the right fit for you.

Chattanooga State’s Early College department will host an upcoming open house for Polytech Academy at Kimball on two dates, Tuesday, March 1 and Monday, March 7 beginning at 5:30 p.m. CT at the Chattanooga State Kimball Site, 2100 Main Street, Kimball, 37347.

Community-Wide Open House Announced at Chattanooga State Kimball Site

– Registered Nursing Cohort Class to be Offered Fall 2022 –

A community-wide open house at Chattanooga State’s Kimball Site will welcome area residents on Tuesday, February 8 from 2-4 pm CT. Kimball’s thriving instructional site has continued to grow its enrollment and expand course offerings for more than 25 years.

Chattanooga State Announces Tiger Momentum Days

It’s good news for high school seniors that have applied to Chattanooga State … Tiger Momentum has returned! While high school seniors from Soddy-Daisy, Bledsoe, Sequatchie, Ooltewah, Grundy, South Pittsburg, Whitwell and Sequoyah attended sessions during November, seniors from Hixson, Howard, Tyner, Central, Sequatchie, Red Bank, East Ridge and Lookout Valley will participate in these next exciting events scheduled for January 10, 11, 12 or 14, 2022.

Chattanooga State Announces Fall Festival 2021

Chattanooga State’s Fall Festival on Saturday, October 30 combines free food, lots of fun, health services, tours, games, and learning activities for all ages from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the main campus, 4501 Amnicola Highway, Chattanooga.

While mouth-watering aromas will fill the air offering free eats, kids can enjoy a little pre-Halloween trick or treating right on campus and play games courtesy of Student Activities.

Patrick O’Hagan Named Chattanooga State Regional Impact Director

Chattanooga State Community College recently announced that Patrick O’Hagan as will serve in an expanded role as Regional Impact director. O’Hagan has served as the Kimball Site interim director in a full-time capacity and as regional workforce development liaison in Marion County since Julie Bennett’s retirement in 2020.
