Machine Tool Technology

The Machine Tool program covers all aspects of machining from shop safety, blueprint reading and basic hand tools (micrometers, calipers, etc.) to the operation of precision Computer Numeric Controls (CNC) machines. While training, students have the opportunity to develop their skills on lathes, vertical milling machines, and surface grinders.
Collision Repair Technology

Students receive thorough and up-to-date instruction in the practices and procedures used in repairing and refinishing vehicles. Beginning with auto construction, the program progresses through repair techniques for all body parts. Major emphasis is hands-on activities essential to the development of knowledge and skills required to become a successful technician.
Diesel Equipment Technology

The program prepares students to enter the work force equipped to maintain large diesel engine-powered fleets of both on-highway and off-highway vehicles. The skills learned include the assembly and disassembly of diesel engines; the repair and replacement of cylinder blocks, camshafts, crankcases, and cylinder heads and valves; timing and valve mechanisms; air intake and other support systems and components; diesel fuel, governors, fuel-injection, nozzles and holders; and specific brands of fuel systems like CAT , Cummins and Detroit .
Landscape & Turf Management

Graduates of the landscape and turf management program gain a strong background that prepares them for self-employment or employment with a landscape company or other organization involved with the upkeep of their grounds.
Motorcycle & Marine Services

Motorcycle and marine engines are becoming more sophisticated and require technicians to have extensive technical training. Motorcycle and marine engines are a separate technology from automobile and diesel mechanics. The motorcycle service industry includes ATVs, dirt bikes, and street bikes. The marine service industry relates to bass boats, pleasure boats, personal watercraft, and cruisers. While all have similar maintenance and repair requirements, all can develop unique problems that test the technician’s expertise.
Only full-time day classes are available on the main campus.

Computer Numeric Control (CNC)

Students receive instruction on how to read machine shop blueprints; properly use measuring instruments; operate a variety of CNC machines including machines offsets; proper use of tooling; and programming of CNC machines to produce precision machined parts. Completion of the Machine Tool Technology program or five years of work experience in a machine tool shop, plus passing the TTC machine shop final exam are required. Classes are held on the main campus.
