Admissions Checklist for First Time College Students
Submit Proof of Lawful Presence in U.S / Proof of Citizenship
Valid, unexpired, Tennessee Drivers License or valid, unexpired, US Passport. Students with a Drivers License issued outside of Tennessee, must also submit a copy of their birth certificate

Submit Official High School Transcript or High School Equivalency Exam Score Report (HiSET or GED)
Applicants applying before they graduate high school can submit their current high school transcript and be accepted before they graduate. They must submit another transcript indicating date of graduation before attending classes. HiSET scores can be obtained by visiting https://hiset.ets.org/scores/get/. GED test scores can be obtained at https://ged.com/life_after_ged/.
Official Standardized Test Scores (ACT, SAT, etc.)
- Request your ACT Test Scores here
- Use our school ACT number to request scores be sent to Chattanooga State: 4041
- Your scores must have been issued within the last 5 years.
- If you do not have ACT or SAT scores you will be given the option to take the college's entrance exam, Accuplacer. Test scores are used to determine placement into college courses.
An email will be sent to you from the Office of Admissions when you have been accepted to Chattanooga State.
