Below is a list of general admissions documents, however, some programs require additional documents or a program-specific application.
Official Transcripts (High School & College)
Transcripts must be sent directly from the institution to Chattanooga State via one of the following methods:
- Electronically via the following vendors:
- Naviance
- Parchment
- eSCRIP-SAFE
- National Student Clearinghouse
- Credentials Solutions
- Or other approved third-party vendor
- Email as an attachment to [email protected]
- Postal mail to Admissions Office, 4501 Amnicola Hwy, Chattanooga, TN 37406
- Any high school or college transcripts from outside of the United States must be accompanied by an official evaluation from a NACES member
High School Equivalency Test Scores (HiSET or GED)
Official Standardized Test Scores (ACT, SAT, etc.)

- Request your SAT scores here
- Applicants who have not taken the ACT or SAT can take placement testing through the Chattanooga State Testing Center. The test offered is the Accuplacer Next Generation, and the first attempt is free.

English Proficiency
- All applicants whose native language is not English must provide documentation of language proficiency:
- TOEFL minimum score 61 within 2 years
- IELTS minimum score 5.5 within 2 years
- Duolingo English Test minimum score 90 within 2 years
- Completion of U.S. high school diploma or U.S. high school equivalency test
- Completion of English Composition with a “C” or better from a regionally accredited U.S. college
