It’s hard to believe we are over halfway through October. I hope you are doing well in your classes and continually working with your instructors to ensure you are on track for success. Now is the time to start planning for the Spring 2021 semester. See important updates below about applying for financial aid and for advising and registration.

FASFA Help Available

Need help completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)? FASFA assistance is available on Thursday, October 29 from 8:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. in the Student Center at the main campus. Staff will be on hand to assist and will be following all safety guidelines. The 2021-2022 FAFSA opened October 1, and you may complete the application using 2019 tax and income information. Dinner of Firsts 2020 Remix

Join us for the Dinner of Firsts 2020 Remix Premiere Nov. 12: We are going virtual and everyone is invited! Get ready for some great memories and a lot of laughter at this first-ever free virtual event. Now celebrating its 9th year, Chattanooga State Foundation’s Dinner of Firsts is the signature “FUNdraising” event for Chattanooga State raising scholarship funds for first generation college students. The Student Government Association asks that we not forget about the upcoming Presidential Election on November 3rd. 

  • Absentee Ballot Request Deadline (Tuesday, October 27)
  • Early Voting Period (Wednesday, October 14 - Thursday, October 29)
  • Election Day (Tuesday, November 3)

Contact your local Election Commission or County Clerk Office for location and hours of operation. If you aren’t sure where you should vote, visit https://tnmap.tn.gov/voterlookup/ to look-up your assigned polling location.

  • Technology Support: A limited number of devices (laptops, hotspots, etc.) are available through the College. To request a device, complete the technology request form.
