Student Resources: We’re Here to Help

Remember, if you are sick, stay home. We want you to be healthy, and we need your help in keeping our campus community healthy as well. Whether you are on campus or in the community, please wear your face mask to keep yourself and others safe and healthy.

We are resilient. We are innovative. We are united. We are ChattState.

Sincerely,
Rebecca Ashford, Ed.D.
President

Campus Access

In the interest of maintaining campus health and safety, as you visit departmental offices on campus you may be asked to verify your campus access approval by showing your “green screen” which is generated by completing the daily health screening questionnaire. If an individual refuses to show their access approval (green screen), Campus Police will be contacted to assess the situation and take the necessary action to mitigate the situation. Please do your part to keep our campus safe.

Virtual Backgrounds

If you would like to use a Chattanooga State virtual background for meetings or classes, we have developed four backgrounds for your use (links below). The virtual backgrounds can also be located in the Media Bank at the bottom of the page, as well as on the Fall 2020 Update page in the Resources section.

The Virtual Background feature allows you to display an image as your background during a virtual meeting. This feature works best with a physical green screen behind you and uniform lighting which allows the virtual meeting software to detect the difference between you and your background. However, a green screen is not required to use a virtual background. Below are instructions on using virtual backgrounds for Zoom, WebEx and Microsoft Teams.
