The Foundation Scholarships are provided by the Chattanooga State Foundation and private donors. The Foundation, a private nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization, was chartered in 1977 by citizens interested in the educational well-being of Chattanooga State’s students. Requirements and award amounts vary. Scholarships may be renewed depending upon scholarship criteria. Failure to meet individual qualifications of awarded scholarships during any semester will result in forfeiture of the scholarship for the following semester. Recipients must enroll for a minimum of twelve (12) credit hours each semester unless program is approved for less hours or specific scholarship criteria states otherwise.

HOPE Scholarship

The HOPE Scholarship is established and funded from the net proceeds of the state lottery and awarded to entering freshmen who are enrolled at an eligible postsecondary institution

TN Promise Scholarship

TN Promise Scholarship

Tennessee Promise is both a scholarship and mentoring program focused on increasing the number of students that attend college in our state. It provides students a last-dollar scholarship, meaning it will cover mandatory tuition and fees not covered by the Pell Grant, the HOPE scholarship, TSAA, SEOG, or other outside scholarship funds. Additionally, Tennessee Promise participants must complete eight hours of community service prior to each term enrolled, as well as maintain satisfactory academic progress (2.0 GPA) at the institution. TN Promise is available for 5 semesters of continuous enrollment at an eligible institution or until a degree is obtained or program completion.
