President's Update - November 19, 2020

Dear Chattanooga State Family,

It is only one week until Thanksgiving Day. While this year has been full of challenges for all of us, I hope you will take the time to reflect on what you are grateful for. I encourage you to tell the people in your lives how much you appreciate them.

The times we are living in can be so contentious. During this holiday season, I hope that we can all focus on our appreciation for others and what unites us, rather than on our differences.

I cannot tell you how much I appreciate our Chattanooga State family--our students, faculty and staff. Thank you for being part of our college family.

If you are able to work and learn from home, please do so. If you must come to campus for class, work, or teaching, you may continue to do so. Of course, you will continue to complete the COVID-19 questionnaire before coming to campus.

Please protect our community, yourself, and your loved ones by continuing to wear your mask when you are on campus or out in the community. Please stay home if you feel sick. We want you to be healthy, and we need your help in keeping our campus and community healthy as well. We are resilient. We are innovative. We are united. We are ChattState.

Sincerely,
Rebecca Ashford, Ed.D.
President
