Curriculum Details

A paralegal or legal assistant is qualified by education, training or work experience and employed or retained by a lawyer, law office, corporation, government agency or other entity. Paralegals perform specifically delegated substantive legal work for which a lawyer is responsible.

The paralegal studies program offers a two-year, full-time curriculum that allows a student to graduate and enter the paralegal profession under the supervision of an attorney in the private or public sector with an associate of applied science degree.

Many students, after earning a paralegal studies degree, continue on to complete four-year degrees. Some even continue on to law school with the goal of becoming licensed attorneys.
