Two ChattState Employees Honored with House Joint Resolution for Excellence in Education

Chattanooga, TN—Chattanooga State Community College is pleased to announce that two employees, Janaria McIntosh and Dale Grisso, have received a House Joint Resolution in recognition of their significant contributions to education. The Resolutions were inspired by their recent victories as the 2023 Statewide Outstanding Achievement Recognition (SOAR) award winners presented by The College System of Tennessee.
Representative Greg Vital, who initiated the Resolutions, commended the duo for their accomplishments. Janaria McIntosh, a Barber Instructor, and Dale Grisso, the Financial Literacy Coordinator, have made a tangible impact on their students' lives. "Presenting this Joint House Resolution to Janaria and Dale is not just a privilege, but a genuine pleasure. They are shining examples of the excellent team at Chattanooga State," Rep. Vital proudly declared.
Janaria McIntosh, an exemplary Barber Instructor at Chattanooga State’s TCAT, has transformed lives with her passion for barbering. Her influence extends beyond the classroom, making a significant impact on the community by providing free haircuts to low-income individuals.
Similarly, Dale Grisso, as the Financial Literacy Coordinator at Chattanooga State, has been instrumental in empowering students with essential financial skills. His unwavering dedication to financial literacy education has provided students with tools and resources to confidently navigate their financial futures.
