Dear Chattanooga State Community,

Now that the semester has started and you are beginning to settle into your classes and schedule, I wanted to take a moment to talk about a program that you may not realize we offer here at ChattState: study abroad.

Why should you consider study abroad? Here are a few of the many reasons to study abroad:

  1. See the world. ChattState’s study abroad program has trips planned this summer to Brazil, England, France, and Greece, to name a few.
  2. Make life-long friends. Traveling to another country as part of a study-abroad trip allows you to build relationships with your classmates and teachers as you learn and experience the country’s culture together.
  3. Gain perspective. Taking a class in a different country allows you to see the world and your studies through a new lens.
  4. Boost your resume. Studying abroad demonstrates skills employers look for in their workforce, like problem-solving, communication, and cultural awareness.

What about the cost?

Do not allow the cost of the courses to keep you from an incredible opportunity. There are funds available at ChattState to help cover costs.

We’d love to see you in one of our next Study Abroad classes. Check out the upcoming classesstudy abroad interest and grant application, and apply for other ChattState scholarships that can be used for study abroad.

Chattanooga Climbs Higher Survey

Do you live or work in Hamilton County? The Chattanooga Chamber wants to hear your opinion!

The Chattanooga Climbs Higher Strategic Plan – developed in collaboration with national experts at Ernst & Young – will serve as a roadmap for the next five-year program of work (2024-2029) at the Chamber. The plan’s core focus builds on the previous five years’ momentum and hallmark achievements in economic development, talent and workforce development, and entrepreneurship.

The survey takes under 5 minutes; feel free to share the survey.
