Coronavirus Updates - March 30, 2020

coronavirusDear Chattanooga State Community, I hope everyone had the opportunity to enjoy the beautiful weekend and to enjoy some much-needed distractions from the current situation we all find ourselves in. I also hope that our students, faculty, and staff are settling into the new learning and working environment. Here are today’s updates and reminders.

SkillsUSA State & National Conferences Canceled – Other Events to be Held Virtually

The National SkillsUSA Leadership and Skills Conference (NLSC) and the Tennessee State Leadership and Skills Conference are canceled. Both state and national SkillsUSA will proceed with the Model of Excellence competition, National Officer elections through a virtual platform, and Advisor of the Year awards. National SkillsUSA Executive Director Chelle Travis communicated, “SkillsUSA has made the difficult decision to cancel all in-person activities related to NLSC — including our SkillsUSA Championships — and focus on essential organizational leadership opportunities conducted in a virtual setting.”

Summer & Fall Registration

  • Summer registration begins April 6. A PIN number will not be required to register for any summer term, and students will be able to register without meeting with an academic advisor. Students will be required to meet the course pre-requisites in order to register for course(s).
  • Fall registration will begin May 1. Additional details will be provided soon.
