Dear Chattanooga State Family,
Congratulations! You have nearly completed the first week of the fall 2021 semester. If you are taking first 7-week session courses, you have completed a significant percentage of your classes after just one week. Well done!
It has been wonderful to see so many students back on campus this week. I would like to thank so many of you for wearing facemasks while indoors this week, even if you have received the COVID-19 vaccine. With the upswing in COVID-19 infections in our community, wearing masks can help us mitigate the spread of the virus on campus. My hope is that our infection numbers will remain low, and we can continue with on-ground classes.
If you are interested in receiving the COVID-19 vaccine, Get Vaccinated Chattanooga is hosting a vaccine clinic on campus on Friday, August 20. More information about that clinic is listed below. Additional information regarding the COVID-19 vaccine is available on the Hamilton County Health Department website.
I look forward to seeing you on campus next week and as the semester progresses.
