April 15, 2022

Dear Chattanooga State Community,
This was an exciting week for many of our students enrolled in TCAT programs. Fifty-seven TCAT students participated in SkillsUSA competitions during the Tennessee Conference held here in Chattanooga. Of the 57 competitors, 42 students won medals—32 gold, 7 silver and 3 bronze medals. Thirty-two of these students will go on to compete in the SkillsUSA National Conference in June. Our SkillsUSA Chapter won the Chapter of Distinction Gold Level Chapter Excellence Program Award as well as the James D. King Award. TCAT faculty member and SkillsUSA Advisor Mike Mercer won Advisor of the Year. Well done SkillsUSA competitors!
