April 1, 2022

Dear Chattanooga State Community,
You have just completed the third week of the second seven-week session. Great job! Keep up the hard work. Registration for the summer and fall semesters begins next week. Be sure to make an advising appointment and register for your next semester. Keep the momentum going and keep making progress toward your degree. You can do this!

I am so proud to share with you that earlier this week, Chattanooga State student Zennia Nesmith was named TBR College System of Tennessee Community College Student of the Year. Zennia returned to Chattanooga State two years ago after an unsuccessful first attempt at college in 1999. She has worked hard to overcome many personal challenges so that she could succeed in college, and her hard work and perseverance have paid off. She is the president of the Psychology Club and the Student Government Association. Earlier this year, she was one of only eight students from across the United States to be named an Achieving the Dream (ATD) Dream Scholar. Now, we celebrate Zennia’s success as the Community College Student of the Year. Congratulations, Zennia!

Registration Opens Monday, April 4, 9AM
