Technology Requirements

Technology is a necessary tool for students, and at ChattState, all students, both online and on-campus, will need to have access to the latest technology to get their class work done. Don’t own a computer? Don’t worry. There are a number of computers available for your use around campus or at local public libraries, and all ChattState campuses have computer labs and WiFi. Not to mention, you can also borrow the technology you need to keep on learning—tech tools such as laptops and webcams are always on loan for free at ChattState’s Technology Pantry.

For classes at ChattState, you will need access to the following technology:

  • A device that can access the internet
  • Internet access
  • Microphone and speakers or headphones
  • ChattState student email addresses (one on Tiger Web and one for eLearn)
  • Word-processing program(s) that works with .doc or .docx files
  • Software for viewing PDF, Word, and PowerPoint files
