Position Summary
- Student Assistant (FWS)
Greet and Assist students, faculty, staff, and the community with divisional direction, and campus questions at the
Humanities reception desk
Assist with copying, fax, scanning, faxing, and printing and monitor paper supplies for copiers and printers and refill as
needed.
Regular cleaning of tables, desks, shelves, keyboards, mice, an monitors.
Answer phones and assist with questions or refer to appropriate person.
Regular visits to the print shop to pick up orders
Mail sorting and distribution.

Passion for customer service, i.e., assisting students, faculty, staff with questions Experience with Windows, internet browsers and Microsoft Office for the three main applications: Word, Excel and Power Point. Familiar with TigerWeb Self-Service (Banner), eLearn, TigerMail, the Chattanooga State website. Familiarity with arts and humanities a plus.
Work ExperienceNo work experience required, but preference may be given to those with customer service experience.
Preferred QualificationsCustomer service experience. Familiar with Google applications, Mac products, mobile phones and tablets.
Physical Requirements/Working ConditionsMust be able t routinely lift items weighing 10-15 pounds. Must be able to tolerate repetitious tasks. Must be able to operate a dolly. Must be comfortable working alone and with others. Must be able to sit/stand for 4-6 hours.
