Paramedic Hybrid Cohort
The Chattanooga State Community College Emergency Medical Services Program offers a (Hybrid) Paramedic Cohort which begins each Spring Semester. In the Hybrid Paramedic Cohort, Didactic Learning is in an ONLINE-ASYNCHRONOUS Format (through eLearn), with 1 day per week on campus in the Laboratory setting for Psychomotor Learning (Skills) and Testing). Clinical requirements remain unchanged.
This course involves 3 semesters of Fundamentals, Laboratory, and Clinical learning (Spring, Summer, & Fall) beginning each January, with graduation scheduled for the following December. Applications close each December 15 prior to matriculation in the following January. Entry requirements remain unchanged:
- TN AEMT
- EMS Information Session
- ENGL 1010 (Composition I) or equivalent (CLEP and other nontraditional forms of credit accepted)
- BIOL 2010 & 2020 (A&P I&II), OR Successful completion of the Test of Essential Academic Skills (TEAS)
- Successful Completion of Paramedic Entrance Examination
- Successful Completion of Paramedic Board Interview
EMS Information Sessions are ongoing, CBIH Room 134, 10 a.m.-12 p.m., and are held every other Thursday. Please check the ChSCC website for specific dates.
