Radiologic Technology Competitive Admission
Applicants who have been accepted into the program will be notified by the end of June. Students must submit a physical examination and other health screening tests, including a drug screen to maintain their place in the program. A background check will also be required at the student’s expense.
Application Deadline:
April 15 of application year (Spring semester course grades will be included)
- Applications must be complete and all test scores on file to be considered
- No late or incomplete applications will be accepted
GPA:
You must have a college GPA of 2.5 or higher to be considered for the qualified applicant pool.
Information Session
Required
You must attend one information session during the application year (July – April).

TEAS:
Required
- Only one test every six weeks but can be repeated prior to application
- The highest grade of all exam scores will be counted
- Test valid within two years of program application deadline
- All 4 sections: Math, Science, Reading and English/Language will be used
- A minimum score of 60% on each sections is required (minimum score can be waived with program director's approval)
100 maximum points
- Mathematics: 30%
- Science; 20%
- Reading; 30%
- English/Language:20%
Courses:
Points awarded if completion prior to application
- BIOL 2010: A = 50 B = 30 C = 20
- BIOL 2020: A = 50 B = 30 C = 20
- MATH 1710 (will accept MATH 1720, 1830, or 1910): A = 50 B = 30 C = 20
- ENGL 1010 (will accept ENGL 1020): A = 40 B = 20 C = 10
Points awarded if completion prior to application
- Social/Behavioral Science Elective: A = 20 B = 10 C = 5
- Humanities Elective: A = 20 B = 10 C = 5
230 maximum points
Additional Course Information
- Biology & Math courses weighted more heavily than other general education courses
- BIOL 2010 & BIOL 2020 must have been completed within the last 5 years
- The most recent grade of all repeated courses will be counted
Interview:
The top 50 applicants from the qualified applicant pool will be interviewed – 32 students will be accepted into the program and 6 students will be designated as alternates.
