Tips for SAILS Principals.

• Choose the right teacher! The SAILS teacher is not simply your most tenured. The SAILS teacher is one who is technologically savvy, one who has a good rapport with students, and is willing to try new things.
• Get to know your field coordinator. Build a relationship with this technical expert and ask for a weekly report on the progress of your students.
• Gain access to the software so that you may view your students' progress. Monitor weekly and ask questions of your teacher and coordinator based on what you see.
• Engage your students. Check with them as time allows to get their views on the program and the process.
