Apprenticeships
Registered Apprenticeships
Registered apprenticeships are for ambitious people of all ages who want to earn a salary while they learn, gaining real skills and knowledge in a field of their choice.
ChattState’s registered apprenticeships offer paid on‐the‐job training, plus classroom or technical learning that enables students to jump‐start their career, supporting themselves and their families while they’re still in school. Many employers will cover education expenses, further lessening the need to take on debt to fund college education.
College courses are coordinated with work schedules, so the apprentice will not miss any hours on the job. They will graduate with one or more years of job experience already on their resume.
Pre‐Apprenticeships
Chattanooga State’s certified pre‐apprenticeship programs enable high school students to begin working up to 20 hours per week for local employers.
Pre-apprenticeships are paid positions. These students also earn on‐the‐job training hours that they can apply to a registered apprenticeship after they graduate from high school.
