SkillsUSA is a leading advocate for career and technical education and skilled trades in America. It is a diverse, student-led organization that prepares graduates for rewarding careers by building the future skilled workforce. SkillsUSA's competitions provide an opportunity for students to showcase their competencies in their respective fields. With the support of industry, trade associations, labor organizations, and others, students are tested in a real-world context. Leadership contestants further demonstrate their skills in extemporaneous speaking and conducting meetings using parliamentary procedure. The SkillsUSA conference welcomes middle school, high school, and college-level students who are members of SkillsUSA. The competitions are designed to match their respective school levels, promoting a fair and challenging environment.
The highest-performing students were awarded gold, silver, and bronze medallions in their respective competitions. Many also received prizes, including tools of their trade and scholarships to further their careers and education.
ChattState is incredibly proud of our students for their exceptional performance at the SkillsUSA National Leadership and Skills Conference. It is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our students and faculty. This achievement highlights the value of technical education in shaping our future workforce, and we are committed to providing high-quality technical programs to our students.
Our students' success at the SkillsUSA conference reflects the strength of Tennessee's technical colleges and the impact they can have on the future of our workforce.
