Tennessee Reconnect Spotlight will feature a first-person story each week...

As a 35-year-old parent of two wonderful children, I am going back to school so I can better our lives. I have always told them if you put your mind to it you can accomplish anything. Now that they are older, they are challenging me to pursue my dreams of becoming a video game designer. I going to prove to my children that anything is possible when you apply yourself.

When I completed my Hiset in April of 2022, I immediately enrolled at Chattanooga State Community College and will start classes this fall, majoring in digital media design and production with a computer animation concentration. I am so excited to be going back to school! I want to thank Chattanooga State Community College and Tennessee Reconnect for giving me this opportunity to fulfill my dreams of being a video game designer. If I can do it, anyone can … all you have to do is put your mind to it.
