coronavirus info for webDear Chattanooga State Community, I appreciate your continued dedication to bringing the fall 2020 semester to a successful close, even if success looks very different from what we  all imagined at the beginning of the semester. We are getting so close to finishing, so keep up the good work you are doing. 

CARES Act Update

The Department of Education has provided colleges with new guidance relative to the distribution of CARES Act funding. We are seeking clarification from the Department of Education regarding how these funds are to be allocated. As soon as we are able, we will share this information with you.. Funding from the government has not been dispersed to the College at this point.  

Fall 2020 Registration Update

Fall 2020 registration begins May 1. We are planning to have on-campus instruction for the fall semester. 

Reminders

The April 22 communication included information about TCAT Summer / Fall Enrollment and Return-to-Campus Planning.

The April 20 communication addressed several important topics including:

  • Fall 2020 Registration

  • TN Reconnect Info Sessions scheduled for the remainder of April

  • Spring 2020 / Summer 2020 Schedule Changes

  • Employee Update – Childcare Assistance for Essential Employees

  • Links to student support services including Tiger Cupboard requests, Helping Hands request, and Technology Needs request, as well as link to the Student Support Center.

  • Storm Relief Assistance for Chattanooga State Students and Employees

All past communications can be accessed from the College’s COVID-19 information page. I do not expect to have a message for the campus tomorrow, so I hope you all have a good weekend. You will get through this. We will get through this.
