Dear Chattanooga State Community,
This semester continues to present many challenges impacting our community. We have heard from several of our students and employees who were impacted by the storms that hit our area last night. As you are aware, classes were canceled for today, April 13. Given the widespread power outages, we are assessing the need to modify class schedules for the coming days and will keep you informed via TigerAlerts of any changes to our regular schedule. Below are a few resources available from Chattanooga State to assist you during these challenging times.
Technology Devices for Students
- If you are a student in need of a laptop or digital device, please complete the Technology Needs Request Form. We want to ensure you have the tools needed to be successful. Once you submit the request form, you will be contacted to schedule a date to pick-up the device.
Tiger Cupboard & Additional Support Services for Students
- The Tiger Cupboard provides supplemental food and other necessities for students in need. Although the campus is closed, we will fulfill requests for food from the Cupboard. Visit https://www.chattanoogastate.edu/tiger-cupboard for more information.
- Chattanooga State remains dedicated to delivering support services and resources to assist our students. Learn more about the services available through our Student Support Center here.
Please continue to check the College COVID-19 information page for updates.
All of this change and uncertainty can be overwhelming. I encourage you to focus on today and on what you can control. What can you do today that will lead you to where you want to be? What is the next right thing you need to do? Focus on that. Take that small step. Do the next right thing. You will get through this. We will get through this.
Sincerely,
Rebecca Ashford, Ed.D.
President
