CTLI Class of 2019 Selects Brad McCormick for Third Cohort
August 30, 2018 | | Press Release
Chattanooga State Community College Assistant Vice President for Student Affairs Brad McCormick has been selected to participate in the third cohort class of the Complete Tennessee Leadership Institute (CTLI). McCormick will attend a total of five sessions beginning September 16-17, 2018, and ending April 28-29, 2019.
Chosen for his commitment to Tennessee students and the workforce through his leadership at Chattanooga State, McCormick says, “Student success is at the heart of everything we do, so I am honored to spend the year with this cohort learning about ways to help even more students reach their goals.”
With Tennessee’s goal of reaching at least 55 percent postsecondary attainment by 2025, CTLI advocates for students and communities by supporting increased postsecondary access and completion. The program further develops champions of higher education by strengthening professional leadership capacity, fostering partnerships between postsecondary institutions and communities, and exploring innovative solutions for statewide collaboration and student success.
Following completion of CTLI, its participants will gain greater understanding about current postsecondary and workforce development benchmarks while learning from national and statewide experts, and develop a richer comprehension about the state of postsecondary education in Tennessee. By guiding Drive to 55 efforts within their communities, CTLI participants will serve as Complete Tennessee ambassadors across the state.
“We at Chattanooga State are so pleased that Brad was selected to participate in this important program. His perspective will add a great deal to the experience of his cohort, and I know he will bring important ideas back to the college after this experience,” states Chattanooga State President Dr. Rebecca Ashford.
