Senator Corker Kicks Off TSBDC CEO Series

Chattanooga, TN --- The Honorable Bob Corker, U.S. senator from Tennessee, will be the inaugural speaker for the CEO Series hosted by the Tennessee Small Business Development Center (TSBDC) and The Company Lab (Co Lab). The breakfast meeting is scheduled for August 28, 7:30-9:30 a.m. at the Walden Club located at 633 Chestnut Street.
“As a former mayor and businessman, I appreciate the crucial role local entrepreneurs play in ensuring cities all across our state thrive,” said Corker. “I am honored by the invitation to kick off TSBDC’s CEO Series and look forward to talking with local business leaders about the big issues facing our country.”
Chattanooga State President Jim Catanzaro will introduce the Senator to the crowd of local entrepreneurs in attendance.
The doors will open at 7:30 a.m. with the continental breakfast. A question and answer period will follow Senator Corker’s address. There will also be an opportunity to network with other attendees.
According to Kevin Stophel of Kumquat, a local financial planning company, and TSBDC advisory board member, “It is especially exciting to have Senator Corker inaugurate and speak at the CEO Series kickoff as his entrepreneurial experience is particularly relevant. The Senator has a unique perspective synthesized from his business and political careers. I expect attendees will benefit greatly from his insight.”
First Tennessee Bank is sponsoring the inaugural event. Ongoing sponsors of TSBDC events are Cohutta Banking Company, a division of Synovus, Cornerstone Bank and C-W-C Office Furnishings and Supplies since 1929. The TSBDC is a Chattanooga State Community College organization and sponsored by the Chattanooga Area Chamber of Commerce and the Small Business Administration (SBA).
