Performance by Chattanooga State’s Music Faculty Scheduled for October 11

October 7, 2010 | | Press Release

On Monday, October 11, Chattanooga State Community College invites the community to a special musical performance by Dr. Amanda Hyberger and Dr. Ken Cardillo, members of the college’s music faculty.  A celebration of the college’s music department, the recital begins at 7:30 p.m. in the Humanities Theatre, located on the college’s main campus at 4501 Amnicola Highway.  The event is open to the public free of charge.

With a focus on American, Irish, and Spanish folk music, the recital balances the extraordinary grace of Dr. Hyberger’s vocals with Dr. Cardillo’s distinctive and masterful talents on the guitar.  The performance also includes a selection of Italian arts songs as well as several delightfully humorous works composed for children by John Duarte.
