December 15, 2009 | | Press Release

Radio and television personality, Dr. Asa Andrew, will be speaking at Chattanooga State Community College on Tuesday, February 9, 2010.  The evening presentation, entitled “Diagnosis Hope: The Secrets to Extraordinary Health,” will showcase Dr. Asa’s healthy lifestyle philosophy.  The event begins at 6 p.m. on Chattanooga State’s main campus located at 4501 Amnicola Highway.  The public is invited to attend free of charge, but seating is limited.  Individuals interested in attending the event can pick-up tickets at Nutrition World, which is located at 6201 Lee Highway.  Tickets will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Also on February 9, Dr. Asa will be greeting the public and signing copies of his book, Empowering Your Health, from 1-4 p.m. at Nutrition World.

Recognized as America’s Health and Lifestyle Coach®, Dr. Asa is the author of the national best-selling book, Empowering Your Health; the host of the nationally syndicated radio talk show “Dr. Asa ON CALL”; a regular FOX News health correspondent; and the founder of the integrative clinical system known as Natural Medicine®.  Dr. Asa is an active member of the American College of Preventative Medicine, the American Diabetes Association, and the American Heart Association and an international expert in the field of wellness, integrated medicine, and nutrition.  Dr. Asa’s take-charge-of-your-own-health message is the centerpiece of his radio program, “Dr. Asa ON CALL,” which is based in Nashville, Tennessee.  Locally, “Dr. Asa ON CALL” airs each week night, Monday through Friday, from 9-11 p.m. on Talk Radio WGOW-102.3 FM.   Ed Jones, owner of Nutrition World and sponsor of Dr. Asa’s visit to Chattanooga State, agrees with Dr. Asa’s natural approach to optimum health. “Through his radio broadcast, Dr. Asa promotes a common sense, clinically-based agenda that empowers his listeners to take responsibility for their health,” states Mr. Jones. “His radio personality is engaging, and he is able to effectively connect with his audience and influence their decisions. He is continually reminding them that they have the ability to change their lives.”

Throughout his radio broadcast, Dr. Asa projects a positive and reassuring outlook.  “I want listeners to hear a consistent diagnosis of hope and feel empowered,” says Dr. Asa.  “I am on a mission to help people go from where they are in their current state of health to where they need to be.  The word, doctor, literally means teacher.  If I don’t teach you something about your health and your life, then I haven’t done my job.  As a person who understands the struggles of poor lifestyle choices, I am advocating that everyone has the power, the confidence, and the inner strength required to rebuild and redirect their lives.”  Dr. Asa continues by noting that 80% of the health problems such as diabetes, heart disease, depression, obesity, and arthritis, are diet and lifestyle related.  “If we can lifestyle our way into getting sick, then we can lifestyle our way out and get well.”

Dr. Asa has practiced medicine for more than fifteen years.  His interest in combining medicine, healthy living, and diet led him to establish a medical wellness clinic, The Center for Natural Medicine®.  Located in Nashville, the clinic serves its patients through an integrated system of care called Natural Medicine®.  This methodology incorporates all of the specialties of traditional and alternative medicine to address the whole person when treating medical conditions.

Dr. Asa will be available to talk with fans and the public during two events on February 9, 2010.  Both events are open to the public free of charge.
