Geography A.S. Area of Emphasis

Curriculum Details

Geography examines not only the earth, but also its inhabitants. Studying geography will enrich your knowledge base regardless of your area of concentration.

The two most common fields are physical geography and cultural geography. Physical geographers study the physical aspects of a region, including land formations, climates, soils, vegetation, water, plants, and animals. Cultural geography studies the effect of human inhabitants within a given area. Careers in cartography, GIS specialization, climatology, or transportation management are just a few of the options available to geography majors.
