Missing Persons

A. Statement Regarding Missing Student Notifications

A statement regarding your missing student notification procedures:

Most missing student reports in the College environment are a result of students changing their normal routine and failing to inform roommates, families, or friends. In compliance with Section 488 of the Higher Education Act of 2008, residential students have the option to identify the telephone number of a confidential contact person who will be notified within 24 hours by the College if the student is determined to be missing. Additionally, the College is required to notify students that their custodial parent or guardian will be notified if the student is less than 18 years of age, is not emancipated, and is determined to be missing.
