College Exit Exam
The Tennessee Board of Regents policy requires all graduates of Tennessee colleges and universities to complete an exit exam prior to graduation. Chattanooga State requires the California Critical Thinking Skills Test. Major testing may also be required in selected fields. Your name will be added to the list/lists when you file your intent to graduate form with the Records Office. Exit testing must be completed before the Records Office can post the degree or issue a diploma. Until the degree is posted, a student is not considered to have graduated.
The testing process takes approximately one hour. The test includes questions on general academic knowledge and skills. Sample questions are available to view once you log in using the unique username and password assigned to you. This will give you a feel for the type of questions you will encounter on the exit exam.
The College Exit Exam is offered exclusively online. You may complete the College Exit Exam on your timeline, at home or from any location where you can access your Chattanooga State student email. There is no need to schedule a time to take the exit exam.
