Student Success: Mark Harris - Exercise Science

May 9, 2013 | | Student Success

Mark Harris didn’t plan to stay at Chattanooga State for three years. However, all three of those years were very successful. He maintained a 3.0 GPA and received the Excellence Award for Outstanding Achievement in Exercise Science. A 2010 high school graduate, Mark has played sports all of his life, and is a pitcher on the ChattState Baseball team. He plans to continue his education because he knows that he can’t play baseball forever.&nbsp; He will transfer to Mt. Olive College in North Carolina, to earn a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science while continuing to play baseball. His strong religious convictions have motivated him to help others to live successfully, and to set an example on and off the baseball field. According to Mark, “I just want to thank God, Dean Anne Carroll, Coach Greg Dennis, Patricia Ochoa, Bob Jackson, and all of the other baseball coaches, faculty and staff at Chattanooga State.” It’s no surprise that Mark’s family is very proud of him.</p>
