VETS Campus Designation At October 23 Press Conference

Chattanooga, TN (October 21, 2015) --- The Tennessee Higher Education Commission (THEC) has designated Chattanooga State Community College as one of 12 institutions in Tennessee as a VETS Campus in recognition of the school’s support of veteran students.
Chattanooga State will receive a certificate from THEC recognizing the institution’s designation as a VETS Campus. Speakers at the event will include Senate Majority Leader Mark Norris, sponsor of the VETS Act; Dr. Russ Deaton, interim executive director of THEC; State Senator Todd Gardenhire; Bill Wright, president of Chattanooga State’s Veterans Club; and Dr. Flora Tydings, president of Chattanooga State.
