Chattanooga, TN --- The Tennessee Small Business Development Center (TSBDC) will offer a seminar on Tennessee’s new employee verification legislation. The law, which went into effect on January 1, 2013, places more requirements on the employer during the hiring process. The seminar is set for January 10 from 8:30 – 10 a.m. at the TSBDC office located at 100 Cherokee Blvd. Ann Christopher, vice president and legal counsel for Kenco Group, Inc. will conduct the seminar. She is responsible for managing Kenco’s legal affairs including: contract development (warehousing, logistics, transportation, vendor), risk management and regulatory compliance, real estate lease negotiation, claims review, customer bankruptcy and employment law.
