Chattanooga, TN --- The Tennessee Small Business Development Center will host a seminar entitled, “Selling to Mexico,” on August 10, 2012 from 8:30 – 1:00 p.m. The seminar will take place at the INCubator located at 100 Cherokee Boulevard. The cost is $59, which includes lunch.

The goal of the seminar is to equip local businesses to export goods to one of the United State’s most important buying markets, Mexico. Deputy Senior Commercial Officer Stephen Alley from the U.S. Embassy in Mexico and the U.S. Department of Commerce will speak on the business climate, sectors of opportunity, logistics, and financing options available for those interested in exporting to Mexico.

Other high caliber trade professionals scheduled to speak include John C. Gurney, senior vice president, International Department, First Tennessee Bank; Martha Taylor Fischer LCB CCS, manager, John S. James Company, International Freight Forwarder; and Robert Leach, director, Knoxville-US Export Assistance Center, U.S. Department of Commerce.

The seminar is sponsored by the U.S. Commercial Service, John S. James Company, Tennessee Small Business Development Center, U.S. Small Business Administration, Chattanooga Area Chamber of Commerce, First Tennessee Bank, and Chattanooga State Community College.
