Nuclear Scholarship Program recognizes Engineering Tech Students

Chattanooga, TN --- A grant awarded to Chattanooga State’s Engineering Technology Division by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission for a total of $149,140 has provided funding for a total amount of $31,955 in scholarships for fall 2012 semester. A total of 18 engineering technology students received a scholarship for $1,777.50 each for the 2012 fall semester.

The students are all enrolled in one of the nuclear energy related fields of study leading to an AAS Engineering Technology degree. These areas of study are radiation protection, nuclear power engineering technology, non-destructive technology, and quality assurance/quality control technology.

The recipients of the scholarship award are Nate Barrott, Johnny Bradley, Philip Burke, Trevor Burke, Robert Costlow, Charles Ellsworth, Carl Flemister, Alex Hanson, Latoya Jefferson, Adam Johnson, Eric Koegel, Robert Ledford, Brennan Miles, Adrian Moore, Bryon Rogers, James Smith, Cameron Swafford, and Alex Woods.
