June Tennessee Reconnect Information Sessions Announced
June 2, 2021 | Betty A. Proctor | Press Release
Chattanooga State Community College has enrolled 1,488 Tennessee Reconnect students since the program’s inception in 2018. Visits to the Tennessee Reconnect site have increased by 23.6% over this same time last year. Adult students have found Tennessee Reconnect to be an excellent way to balance their work and life responsibilities with their desire to achieve their educational goals … without a huge amount of debt. Now, with Chattanooga State's new 7-week class options, it becomes even easier to stay focused, stay motivated, and stay on track.
“After working as a mechanic for 10 years, I decided to go back to school, but a year into my engineering degree, I did a major change to Theater Arts and joined the Professional Actors Training Program (PATP) and have enjoyed every bit of it,” said Daniel Alvarez. “Thanks to the Tennessee Reconnect grant I have been able to attend classes at no cost and will continue classes after the PATP to pursue my AFA in Theater Arts.”
Chattanooga State offers Tennessee Reconnect information sessions during June via Webex on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays, and in-person sessions on Thursdays. To better fit the life schedules of students, the sessions are offered moorings, afternoons or evenings.
