Chattanooga, TN (December 11, 2015) --- During the recent annual Holiday Employee Appreciation Luncheon on December 9, employees were asked to donate canned food items and/or make donations to the Chattanooga Area Food Bank.

Recruiting Specialist Dale Grisso reported that college personnel donated 871 pounds of non-perishable food and that monetary donations of $169 were received. All contributions will help provide meals for Chattanooga neighbors in need.

In celebration of the season, all employees were presented with a specially created 50th Anniversary ornament and treated to a viewing of the 50th Anniversary video. Drawings for donated gift cards and one La-Z-Boy recliner brought holiday cheer to many. Those who had a label affixed to the bottom of their chair received a beautiful poinsettia from their table. Topping the day off was an announcement naming this year’s Excellence Award winners: Debbie Poteet, representing Clerical/Support Staff and Vicki Headrick from the Professional Staff Association.
