Chattanooga, TN (February 24, 2016) --- Global Scholars will host and present a Global Shakespeare Forum on Tuesday, March 1 in room 1085 of the Health Science Center beginning at 2:30 p.m. The event is also free and open to the public.

The Chattanooga State Community College honors program officially changed its name to Global Scholars several years ago. Since that time, Global Scholars have experienced international events, participated in global awareness projects, and now will add to their learning experience through the humanities by hosting the Global Shakespeare Forum.

Global Scholar students Chandler Kennedy and Marcus Brummett will present case studies of Shakespeare’s influence across the globe followed by a panelist discussion and a question and answer session. Faculty panelists include Jason Huddleston, assistant professor of English; Juan Santillana, Spanish instructor; and Evans Jarnfeldt, assistant professor of Theatre.

Actors From The London Stage (AFTLS) panelists include Samuel Collings, Chris Donnelly, Ffion Jolly, Patrick Moy, and Claire Redcliffe. A reception that includes a “meet and greet” will follow the discussion from 3:45 to 4:30 p.m.
