The Engineering and Information Technologies Division of Chattanooga State Community College will hold an open house on Thursday, September 22 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. in the Center for Engineering, Technology, Arts & Sciences (CETAS) building starting at the WACKER Institute on the main campus located at 4501 Amnicola Highway. Additionally, representatives from area industries will meet with students at their outdoor booths and participate in panel discussions. Enjoy light refreshments and snacks at the event. The Division of Engineering & Information Technologies offers highly accredited education and training for today’s modern workforce and the careers of the future. More than ever, people are retiring in fields requiring technical know-how. In addition, as distribution centers, automotive manufacturers, IT and technology start-ups, and chemical processors move into the area, the demand for highly skilled workers continues to increase.

To meet the demand, the Engineering & Information Technologies Division offers five Associate of Applied Science degrees with twenty concentrations in the fields of Information Technology/Computer Science and Engineering, a Computer Science transfer path, an Engineering transfer program, and one Technical Certificate in Computer Aided Drafting. 

Participants will discover pathways to high demand, high wage STEM careers through Engineering, Computer Programming, Cyber Security, and Computer Network Administration programs of study.
