Chattanooga State will host its 4th Annual Drupal Camp 2016 on Saturday, November 5, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., in the Health Science Center building on the main campus located at 4501 Amnicola Highway. The $25 camp fee includes a box lunch and t-shirt and goodies. Registration opens at 8 a.m.

Drupal is a free open-source content management system (CMS) written in the PHP programming language. Drupal Camps are community sharing + training events for Drupal enthusiasts and newbies alike. Drupal Camp Chattanooga is an attendee-driven, completely volunteer initiative modeled after the open, participatory nature of barcamps. The event is catered towards everyone – curious beginners, designers, developers, and business owners are all welcome!

Sponsors include sevaa group, True North Custom, Code Journeymen, nearshore Technology, Drupal Heroes, and Smith Basement Brewing Company.

Confirmed session tracks include: Lessons Learned on the Appalachian Trail, Putting Yourself Out There and Avoiding the “What Ifs,” Getting Started with Docker for Development, Object Oriented  PHP for Beginners, Debugging, Profiling & Blocking Out with Browser-Based Developer Tools, and Getting Started with Zurb Foundation for Drupal 8. Additional session tracks are anticipated, check the website for the latest information.

The camp also includes an all day beginner’s track 'Drupal 8 in a Day’ for beginners who want to learn how to build a website, step-by-step, with presenter Doug Vann of Synaptic Blue, Inc., and Drupal trainer to NASA. Beginning participants will learn about menus, blocks, nodes, content types, field, images, listing pages, and more.

Personal sponsorships are available for an additional $20 that includes a ‘shout-out’ on the Drupal sponsor page.

This event can accommodate 150+ attendees. Camps frequently sell out or have waiting lists, so registering as soon as possible is highly recommended. Fees are only payable by credit card. For more information, to submit a session, or to register, visit www.drupalcampchattanooga.com.
