January 4, 2016 | | Press Release
Chattanooga, TN (January 4, 2016) --- Since 2010, Miller Industries and Chattanooga State have had a long-standing relationship of delivering a series of customized leadership classes named “Miller U.” Chattanooga State provides these classes at all of the Miller Industries locations, including Chattanooga, TN; Hermitage, PA; and Greeneville, TN. These Leadership classes provide the necessary skills for employees to move up the ladder in the company and learn how to effectively manage their department.
Classes include Planning Interpersonal Communication; Decision Making and Problem Solving; Conflict Resolution; Performance Evaluations; Coaching; Delegating; and many more. One student mentioned how the interpersonal communication class was most effective for him; “I learned a lot about the different personality styles and dealing with other people. I assumed everyone was just like me, but they are not.”
Not only do these Leadership classes benefit the students/employees, but they also provide results for the company as evidenced by the following comments:
“Employees are coming to me with opportunities and solutions now, not just problems.”
“We were able to add additional installation lines and a paint line in the plant. We never would have been able to do this before the training.”
Graduates include Frank Henley, Catoosa Co.; David Howard, Walker Co.; Terry Hines, Bradley Co.; Jeff Russell, McMinn Co.; David Cagle, Daniel Dill, John Massengale, Robert Davis, Cory Couch, Noel Monzon, James Mish, James Brumlow, and Carrie Woods, Hamilton Co.
