ChattState announces 2012 Portfolio Show

April 20, 2012 | | Press Release

Chattanooga, Tenn, --- The work of graduating students from Chattanooga State’s Graphic Design program will be featured at the 2012 Portfolio Show entitled. ”Paper Planes.” The show is scheduled on Thursday, April 26 from 5-7 p.m. in the Health Sciences Center lobby on the main campus of Chattanooga State.

The event has offered graphic design graduates the opportunity to present their portfolios to the local graphic design community for more than 16 years. Some students have even received offers to interview with potential employers at the show.

The theme, “Paper Planes” is a play-on-words that has nothing to do with airplanes. “Paper is a flat plane, a two dimensional surface. Print designers work on this two-dimensional surface, and can create the illusion of a third dimension,” according to Jeff Morris, Associate Professor of Graphic Design in the Digital Media Design and Production Department at Chattanooga State.

Students whose work will be featured in the show include Jenny Cate, Isaac Craft, Jonathan Dean, Donna Fochler, Brad Heath, and Breana Smith.
