“We are disheartened that there are students pursuing their degree in our community suffering as a result of the ITT closing,” said Dr. Flora Tydings, President of Chattanooga State Community College. “Chattanooga State offers the area’s most affordable, nationally accredited path to a college degree, and with a job placement rate of 96%, students who work hard here can expect a great return on their investment.”

Chattanooga State is a public, comprehensive community college accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission (SACSCOC).

“One of 12 Vet-friendly campuses in the state, we offer 102 different programs of study, including 76 credit and 26 technical programs,” says Nancy Patterson, Vice President of College Advancement and Public Relations. “We anticipate having great options for ITT students who choose to continue their higher education at Chattanooga State.”

Chattanooga State is hosting Information Sessions geared for ITT students on the following dates:

Friday, Sept. 9, 11a.m., S-262
Monday, Sept. 12, 5:30p.m., S-262
