June 1, 2009 | | Press Release
Chattanooga State will offer a hands-on computer class that concentrates on how to effectively use the Internet resource, eBay. Scheduled for two evenings, the class, “eBay Selling: The Ins and Outs,” is slated for Tuesday, June 23, and for Thursday, June 25, from 6 until 8 p.m., in Room 230 of the Center for Business, Industry and Health on Chattanooga State’s main campus. The cost is $49 per student, and enrollment is limited to 16 participants. Interested individuals should contact Chattanooga State’s Office for Continuing Education at 423.697.3100 to register.
Known as the World's Online Marketplace®, eBay enables its patrons to network with buyers and sellers from around the globe. Because eBay provides vast and comprehensive marketing opportunities, implementing a business account with the online portal can be intimating and confusing for prospective users. The class, “ebay Selling,” provides two evenings of instruction and coaching, ensuring students are practiced and confident upon completion of the course. Participants will learn about initiating a personal seller’s account, categorizing merchandise, managing inventory, establishing prices, marketing goods for an online environment, calculating shipping costs, packing merchandise for shipping, and handling payments.
To register for the class, “eBay Selling: The Ins and Outs,” contact Chattanooga State’s Office for Continuing Education at 423.697.3100. Enrollment is limited to 16 individuals.
