Chattanooga State Offers Dance Classes for Fall

August 6, 2013 | | Press Release

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (August 6, 2013) – Chattanooga State Community College’s Humanities and Fine Arts Division will offer a number of dance classes during the fall semester. Zumba, jazz, tap or hip hop dance classes are available on the main campus.

Not only are these classes a great source of exercise, they are a great way to meet general education requirements for most areas of concentration. In addition, taking extra credit hours can help to accelerate the process of completing the requisite courses for graduation.

Zumba instructor, Antonio Dewayne McMath, has gained a reputation for both his smooth moves and the vigorous workout participants get in his class. Caroline Lamb’s hip hop class is known for her wildly creative chorography. Hip hop dance is a two credit hour course, while Zumba provides one credit hour. Both jazz and tap dance offer three hours of credit.

Classes begin August 24 at Chattanooga State. Now is the time to add these classes to your schedule.
