Chattanooga State Offering Computer Classes at Dayton Campus

For the 2009 summer sessions, Chattanooga State has scheduled a variety of computer classes at the college’s auxiliary site located at 200 4th Avenue in Dayton, Tennessee.  Selected specifically for the Dayton campus, the course offerings highlight topics that introduce basic computer information to students unfamiliar with computer usage to topics that present highly technical training to more seasoned users wanting to enhance both personal computing and professional workplace skills.  Organized by Chattanooga State’s Center for Continuing Education and Workforce Development, the classes are designed to assist any student in improving their comfort with and enhancing their knowledge of computer technology.

Jerry Hendrix, director of Chattanooga State’s Dayton site, welcomes students of all ages and all levels of computer literacy.  “Our goal is to address the educational needs of the community in an inviting and relaxing educational environment,” notes Mr. Hendrix.  “Computer technology is constantly changing; therefore, our instructors must be knowledgeable about the most current software applications.  Furthermore, these classes deliver practical information that is useful regardless of whether an individual wants to sharpen existing skills for career advancement or wants to initiate a journey into the world of computers.”

The 2009 summer computer classes have limited availability, and registration is required.
