August 30, 2022 (Chattanooga, TN) --- Chattanooga State Community College will host two Chemical Operator Career Open House sessions at its Kimball Site, located at 2100 Main St., Kimball, TN 37347. The first session will be offered on Thursday, September 8 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. CT and the second session on Tuesday, September 13 from 1:00 to 4:00 pm CT.

During the open house, individuals will discover the pathway to a career at Colonial Chemical in South Pittsburg and receive information about the Colonial Chemical internship program. Open to adults 18 and older, program participants do not need to be a current Chattanooga State student, but selection into the internship program does require participants to become a Chattanooga State student. Acceptance into the paid internship program allows students to be paid for work at Colonial Chemical for up to 24 hours while taking classes.

Upon successful completion of the internship, participants will earn a Chemical Operator Technical Certificate and potentially secure a full-time position at Colonial Chemical.
