March 20, 2009 | | Press Release

Chattanooga State Technical Community College invites the community to attend the college’s annual Spring Visit on Thursday, April 2.  Located in the Health and Physical Fitness Building on Chattanooga State’s main campus, the event begins at 6 p.m. and will showcase the college’s expansive menu of academic majors and technical programs.  Sponsored by Chattanooga State’s Office of Admissions and Recruiting Services, the 2009 Spring Visit offers attendees a personal and comfortable venue through which they can learn about Chattanooga State’s educational programs and services.  The event is open to the public free of charge.

Robin Smith, Chattanooga State’s recruitment coordinator, organized the 2009 Spring Visit.  “We want to encourage all interested individuals to visit us on April 2,” says Ms. Smith.  “We are prepared to address the vast assortment of interests and concerns that always present during this annual open house; so everyone‐high school students, transfer students, working adults, and individuals seeking retraining for new careers‐are welcome and urged to attend.”

The purpose of the 2009 Spring Visit is to showcase the many aspects of the Chattanooga State experience in a single location.  “The Spring Visit is designed to be a casual, flexible event,” emphasizes Ms. Smith.  “Visitors can easily engage faculty in conversations about topics such as academic requirements, new technology, emerging careers, and transferring to a four-year institution.”  Representatives from financial aid, admissions, academic counseling, continuing education, workforce training, and athletics will also be available to provide guidance and assistance.  Current Chattanooga State students will be supporting the 2009 Spring Visit by giving campus tours and assisting visitors.
